| Colemere Colemere is the nearest of the North Shropshire lakes or meres to our home, the largest being Ellesmere. It takes about 45 minutes to cycle there on quiet country lanes which themselves are worth the trip. The best way to see it is by walking a circular route using paths across fields, woodland and along the canal tow path. There is always plenty to see at all times of year with wonderful views of the mere and the surrounding woods, wild flowers, insects, woodland and water birds in season.
