April is the month for narcissus of all kinds. They make a great show over several weeks with the daffodils first followed by the double and triple flowered narcissus and finally the the jonquils with their multiple flowers on a single stem. Not forgetting the dainty miniatures in the raised bed.

The spring flowers are nearly all finished - only the pansies and violas are still going well. The first of the plants in the herbaceous beds start to flower
